How it Works

Hullguard is placed on the inside of the hull of the boat. Hullguard forms an ultrasonic barrier around the hull of the boat, by sending out an ultrasonic signal through the hull.

The ultrasonic signal is hostile to algae, and therefore prevents the algae from growing on the hull of the boat. Without this algae, the barnacles are without a food source. Without this food source, the barnacles cease to attach themselves to the hull of the boat.
Although the ultrasonic signal is hostile to algae, it is inaudible to fish or aquatic life, and therefore is harmless to them.
HullGuard needs a continuous source of power so long as your boat is in the water. This power can come from the main engine of the boat, or by means of a battery. The power requirement is only 36 watts.
HullGuard continuously adjusts itself to environmental factors, always maintaining optimal performance.

Each Hullguard unit is designed for up to a 15m(49ft.) range. Multiple units can be combined to achieve greater ranges.
Hullguard is usually placed around 1/3 from the rear of the boat. However, the position will vary based on the material & dimensions of the boat.
Since Hullguard passes the ultrasonic signal through the hull of your boat, the construction material will have an impact on Hullguard's output frequency. Hullguard is self-calibrating, it continuously adjusts itself to these kinds of environmental effect.

While the principal design of Hullguard is for leisure crafts, Hullguard can be used on any number of surfaces where algae or barnacle growth is a concern.

Hullguard can be used on boats, or other surfaces for up to 15m(49ft.). Multiple Hullguard units can also be coupled to achieve greater ranges.

The trash skimmer is a marina trash collection system developed by a customer of ours. Our customer was having issues with algae and barnacles clogging his system. Hullguard eliminated the algae and barnacle growth on floating bins. This is just one example of how the Hullguard can be used on more than just boats.
